First before i would coment on wether or not i would like to see them as a clan. Can it first be explained to me. What kind of RP it is to put first. The life of a trader carrying Niobium. Before the life of an Outcast brother.

And destroyed the said Outcast Brother. For attempting to tax him for passage. With goods we regaurd as contriband.

A full explanation would be nice. And that writen appology.

A few SOB pilots were in Sig 13 attacking some Corsairs, A trade ship (one of vincents alt characters) offered to pay one of my pilots to keep him safe during the exchange with us & the corsairs. I will agree he probably did not scan the cargo but rather the ID as he told me it was a trader and was still in a fight with Corsairs in system & pobably did not have time to do a complete scan. I was allready dead at this time & respawned at Ruiz in Beta & heading for Malta.
I was informed a independent outcast (had no tag on it) was attacking the trader that paid my pilot to defend it.
My pilot in open comms repeatedly asked the outcast to cease fire. The Independent pilot continued to fire upon
the trade ship, destroying it. My pilot saw this action as an attack against us by an independent outcast & thus fired on & destroyed him. At No time during this did the Independent pilot make any communications to anyone.

As I entered Alpha system, I was passed by 2 RoS pilots heading towards Beta. I said Greetings as always, then was informed by RoS Vengenace I was to leave Alpha & never return or be fired on. As I wasn't willing to leave & stated as such, Vengenance began to fire on me, of course I fired back in defense. about a 5 to 6 minute duel went on untill a cease fire was ordered. Vengance first claimed we killed his brother in Sig 13. & was an act of treason, Then shortly afterwards claims it was a remotely controlled ship. Which now makes me wonder 3 things.
1. Why couldnt have taken time & RP'd with the pilot that shot him down when the pilot asked him 3 times to cease fire? Even if a remote controlled ship, it would have had communications.
2. Explain to me how an Outcast pilot was killed in a remote controlled ship?
3. Wouldn't firing on me when I entered Alpha constitute the same act of treason, more so as I was a live pilot?

Of course all this was argued out in game in the Alpha system. After some calming down, Zavala & I talked & came to an agreement that SOB would pay RoS 30 mill in damages and call it even. We paid 50 mil to Zavala & figured the situation was done & we all was going to live happily ever after.
No form of apology was agreed to as stated, the 50 mil covered it.
& as far as the "And destroyed the said Outcast Brother. For attempting to tax him for passage"
We have NEVER taxed an outcast nor ever attempted it, anyone stating otherwise best be able to prove it & then I will deal with the person that did it.

Remove The Phantoms from your friendly list and list it as neutral, please. Unless you want us to forcibly change it ourselves.

1st; Why would the Maltiese Navy give valuable ships, weapons, supplies, and support to a rouge "Paramilitary Force" who make a living "defying them [The Military] in others." and who by their own admission is a rebellion against the Maltese way of life. They even admit to wanting "To someday rid the government".

We had an agreement with 101st, we do jobs for them as far as defending Malta & such, they allow us to purchase ships. defying the military? you mistook "The Shadow Outcast Brigade is an independent guerrilla Outcast militia. We assist Outcast military factions with defense of Outcast properties. Yet are not obliged to follow orders unless under a paid contract/negotiation with afore mentioned." for defiance? Not sure how to clear that up in your eyes. We are trying to return Malta to the Maltese way of life, not rebelling against it. & We are trying to "To someday rid the government of corruption, and make a stand with the military" not rid Malta of the Gov (Try quoting all of it next time please:))

2nd; If you are working to cut the "syndicates' corrupt power" over the Maltiese people (and I would like to see facts of this backed up by ingame rumors btw) they are not hostile to the largest and "most corrupt" Syndicate in Malta, namely the BLS. nono.gif by not being hostile to the forces they fight aganst they are ooRP and metagaming. Dispite their claims that they don't "openly attack the syndicates" it is enevitable that powerful "government controlling" forces would eventually root out and destroy the attackers.

"Although the Brigade would never openly attack the syndicates, as they are merely confused members of the Outcast ranks, they continually make covert attempts to disrupt their inner workings."

Ask a few traders & smugglers, we have blasted a couple in attempts to slow the BLS down. We have also allowed many traders & smugglers to leave Alpha with Cardi (Including our own) with out paying BLS's tax which again, hurts BLS , so I dont see were we are not living up to that.

3rd; in my experiance, and the experiances of the rest of the Reaper High Command, they do nothing but sit around turning Malta into a chat room similar to New York. This "conversation" has caused me to not want to log on to my RoS characters if I see any SOB on.

90% of our "Chat" is in role play, granted we have some new players in the squad & are still learning. We DO punish our players that do OORP chat they are warned, fined (minimum of 1 mill credits) & will be removed from squad if continued. NOT chatting in a system (role play chat that is) would be self defeating and assinine & become a seriously boring system to play in.

4th; Friendly with Phantoms? even though they want to WIPE US OUT! Yes, we do have an uneasy truce in place, but if they ever destroy the Houses, guess who's next on the list?

I do believe, however, that your faction is an import. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But at the same time, I have suspicions that in the server that you came from, your faction was named SOB to highlight the other meaning of the acronym, or at least, it was named such with that in mind.

I could be completely wrong, forgive me for assuming if that is the case.

I my self have played on other servers as an Indy & as a lawful faction member.
SOB is not a transplant, 99.95 of it's members have never played anywhere but on Discovery.
As far as the acronym for SOB, Yes, we know what it also means & Yes, it is intentional. As we hope to see many traders & enemies state "Those SOB's robbed/killed me" It's all in the advertising:)
