Doctor Blackburn,
I am Blake Wayne Van Leer, and your application on behalf of your patient intrigued me. Frankly, we have no idea what to expect. It is my opinion that West Point Academy has a much higher volume of recruits and might have greater experience in dealing with cases such as Wilson. However we would be honored to have him upon graduating as well.
I am going to propose what has never been done before in the history of the Fleet. Instead of offering your patient a full-fledged role in the Fleet I am proposing a part-time role of a MENTEE. What would this mean you ask? Wilson will still be going to regular West Point Academy and attend all necessary classes. However, he will also have the opportunity to be mentored, have access to our Base and procedures. He will be assigned two mentors - Lieutenant Weis Maijers and our newest Lieutenant Commander Martin Kemp-Smith.
This part-time role would mean Wilson would fly under the standard navy banner, but also learn the ways of the 46th under the two mentors. When Lieutenant Commander Martin Kemp-Smith decides the time has come, he will be transferred from West Point to the 46th Recruit Programme and fly our banner.
Should you and your patient agree to the above, please direct him to Salt Lake HQ after his West Point classes are done for the day, and our Lieutenant and Lieutenant Commander can begin their mentoring.
