Application cpt. Messemaker

A faint ray of light got my attention. I opened my eyes and the sight gripped me. All around me there was smoke, and red alarm lights burning. Quickly I asked: 'computer, status report'.
A faint but lovely sweet feminine voice replied: 'Shields at 0%, Hull integrety at 30%, weapons are offline, life support system is failing'. I asked myself what has happened. Then, when I saw the debris floating in space I remembered.

One week ago, I flew around with my light fighter, heading towards crete to interview a inhabitant how the situation was on the planet. Right after I entered the omnicron Gamma system a couple of outcast surprised me. 'What is your intention here'. I replied: 'This is Captain Messemaker of the fighter memory, I'm going to crete for an interview. My intentions are not hostile'. The corsair destroyer replied:'If your intentions are not hostile, and you are going to crete then you must be a corsair'. 'No!' I replied. 'I'm just a reporter trying to get information about the planet itself'.
For 30 seconds I thought he believed me, then a voice said:' prepare to be boarded'.
The second the destroyer aimed his tracor beam to me, a corsair bomber arrived and immediately opened fire upon the destroyer. 'RUN' the corsair said to me. So I did. But halfway the asteroid field I felt guilty. How could I ever forgive myself if I did't help that fighter. So I turned my ship and headed for the destroyer.
The situation was desperate: the corsair bomber had lost his shields and whas getting hamered, while the destroyer didn't even had a scratch.
So I armed up my secret weapon: the sunslayer torpedo. I locked on and fired. The first shot took out his shields, the second blew a hole in the ships hull, taking out his main guns. I turned on my com and used the system chat frequency: 'This is fighter pilot Messemaker, drop your engines and power down your guns and shield'. His reply was a deadly shot on my ship. This knocked out my torpedoes. After that shot the destroyer fled the system and the bomber came to me. 'Thank you for your help freelancer, how can I repay you for your help?'. I replied: 'Escort me to Crete, I want to join your cause and whipe out those Outcast scum. You're welcome by the way'. Togethere we docked at Crete, and thus I became a corsair.

2 days later I woke up from my bed, because the speaker in the barracks shouted: System omnicron gamma under attack, man your ships and report in orbit of planet Crete. Finally, I had the chance to test my new ship that I bought yesterday: my new gunboat freedom.
Upgraded with the best armor and the best guns availible I reported for duty.

When I undocked the planet I encountered 6 other corsair bombers and fighters. Together we formed up a fleet, and headed for the last know co?rdinates of the outcast ships.
I was appointed as flight leader because of my anti capital cerberus guns. 'I am honored' I told them, because I joined the corsairs only days before.

in the distance we could allready see that there were two destroyers there. They came right towards us!
I shouted in the com:'All corsair ships, engage at will.' The air lit up as hundreds of shots went through space. I fired my cerberus on the nearest destroyers, and kept firing it. His ship didn't last long, when allso two bombers raged havok on his ship. After 5 minutes the first destroyer whas destroyed. The second however locked on me and allmost destroyed me. On that very moment a brotherhood cruiser showed up and destroyed the second destroyer. But my ship was so badly damaged that life support systems were failing and I went Knock out.

The cruiser patched my ship up and I immediately wanted to join the brotherhood. And so I went to the best bar there is on crete and asked for a application form.

Skills:

My first skill was trading: I was a trader once, and by building up my credits, I allso bought bigger ships. And now I have a taker trader on another account. My skill are thus: Trading on the best possible trade route: the diamonds, niobium trade route between new tokyo and new berlin.

My second skill is as a leader, and I must say that is my best skill. I have an excellent tactical view, and I'm not affraid to use it. With my gunboat I allso can take out capships with relatively ease.

So my best skill is commanding a fleet from my gunship, and hopefully later on a cruiser, so I can perform that task better then because a leader needs to be well protected to hand out orders.

Reasons why I chose the Brotherhood:

First of all, I joined the corsairs, because I envy their courage. Taking on a destroyer with one bomber to defend a freelancer is extraordinary.

I would like to join the brotherhood because they saved my life. It is the oldest fellowship of the corsairs, you prefer to use force instead of diplomacy and all brothers are treaded equal. I want to be a part of that!

And last but not least: I want to whipe out every outcast in the serius system, together with my brothers, my brotherhood!

My biography

I was born on Manhattan 18 years ago. My father was a respected trader, and made enough money to support my family. One day the station he was trading on got attacked by outcasts. He tried to fled but got killed by them. When I heard of this I was 12 years old. Then I swore to kill every outcast in the system.
My family and I fled to the Omnicron gamma system and immigrated on planet Crete. Soon I was building up ships. But I never knew what would become of those ships.
When the Omnicron Gamma system was overrun by outcasts, my mother was killed by a mere accident. But still I held the outcasts responsible. I fled crete and bought myself a small trader in new berlin. With that I build up money and bought better and better trader ships and made more frieds (and enemies).
On my return to new berlin I had the chance to become a reporter. And my first assignment was crete.
Now I have a gunboat with upgraded guns, and am trying to make a living with taxing and shooting outcasts.

O great respected elders. I, capt.Messemaker, your humble brother have a question for you.
I now have two accounts: one tanker trader and one with a corsair gunboat.
I have read the rules that I will have to have one titan fighter. But am I allowed to keep my gunboat, as I think will help in the cause of the brotherhood. It will keep the corsair system safe and will enable me to command the corsair fleet better.
