As of this moment, all personnel are to strictly avoid making contact with any individuals identifying as an "Auxesian". Steer well clear of vessels bearing an "Auxo" IFF or A/) prefix call signs, and be on full alert until further notice. A major incident has now been declared in our home system of Omicron Zeta, with our fleet bearing our Hyperion was subjected to an unprovoked attack from an unknown group of people.
Further details are still coming to my desk by the minute, but from what I can disclosed right now, our patrolling fleet was responding to a distress call at sector F6, to find a lone Core pilot was under attack from a large group of nomads and infested vessels. Our fleet subsequently deployed at this location to secure the zone, and was successful in repelling the aliens back at arm’s length, almost to the point of full retreat. However, a new foreign group announcing as the "Technocratic First Fleet" bearing warships turned up in the sector at 22:44 Sirius Coordinated time. We have not fully encountered this group before, but in a strange coincidence this rallied the Aliens to fight on, with our fleet re-engaging the compromised vessels.
During this time, this unknown fleet engaged a nearby Core vessels who turned up to the scene. As we do not know the history of this new group, and upholding our principle of neutrality, we did not interfere between the warring parties. However, once the Core vessel has been disabled, this group began communicating to our fleet and inconsiderably started making demands, whilst our fleet was fully engaged in battle with the aliens. Treating our combat occupied status from communication somehow as an unacceptable response, this unknown group opened fired at exactly at 23:00, not even within 20 minutes into first communication contact. The first shot of a mortar type projectile was fired at our group with a direct hit on the carrier starboard.
With the cowards entering the combat at the flank of our fleet in league with the aliens, our defence group was overwhelmed, and forced make a withdrawal back into the cover of Capetown station. Unfortunately, our carrier in bid to cover our flagship whilst entering emergency shielding with the station, was critically damaged under immense fire. Orders were made to abandon the carrier, and fortunately with the proximity of the station, the small amount of crew that managed to reach the escape pods launched to the station were promptly rescued.
At the moment, Christian Burton in command of the flagship has been reported unscathed from the attack. He and his ranking officers are currently assessing the situation on board and re-grouping the remaining fleet. One of our other fleets has been re-routed to their location on top speed. A repair ship has also been dispatch to assess if the destroyed vessels could be repaired, and if necessary salvaged.
These dishonourable, literal backstabbers have shown their devious action right on our first contact. We will avenge our fallen members one way or another and make sure they answer to their atrocity. An emergency meeting is being set up to discuss our next steps, and expect a message from Christian Burton directly from the Hyperion shortly.
