My beloved fellow body of whatever it is we are!

These are trying times for the faithful. The goddess is with us, unfortunately, and it seems the forces that the Hodge and Podge are waxing poetic in a manner not entirely in our favor. The Citizens Committees for Concerned Citizens are doing what they do best and things feel like they are on the verge of total collapse. I remind you brothers/sisters/assorted kin (but not kith!) that we are Discordian, we are at our best when everything is up in the air on the verge of completely coming apart, mostly because we certainly aren't at our best under any other situation.

In times like these, we must turn to the holy (and, in most cases, holey) Principia. The text will not guide us false except were it does, and shouldn't be believed in any rate, but it does help keep my desk level, so it has that going for it. I remind you that the "book" (if we're being generous with the term) tells us of the Law of Negative Reversal: "The LAW OF NEGATIVE REVERSAL states that if something does not happen then the exact opposite will happen, only in exactly the opposite manner from that in which it did not happen." We have been given a disappointment, but even this act of destructive order will lead to an act of creative discord somewhere else. We've dropped a bucket of paint over the railing, time to see where the mural ended up. Keep your eyes open, and try not to scratch the paint when you find it!

This wiggle of events (like a turn, only moreso) is in keeping with the traditions of the church, though the jury is still out on whether or not that is a good thing (perhaps they are hung. If they truly are a jury of our peers then they're guilty of something and deserve a good hanging). For is it not written (it is) that we have never registered, incorporated, or otherwise chartered with the State, and so the State does not recognize us or our Ordinations, which is only fair, because we do not recognize the State? Autonomous is literally our middle name, after all.

And so Popes of past, present, and futures perfect and imperfect, let us keep doing our thing and if the greyfaces want to give us a pretty certificate for doing so, that is their right and their privilege. In the meantime, plant your seeds (and keep prices down).

May you have the knowledge of a sage and the wisdom of a child. Hail Eris (and please go bother someone else for a bit)!
