no, you re going the other way round. - its not the zoners that forbid access... its the pirate himself that abstains from using zoner installations. - if i as a pirate attack zoners, it is i who does not want to go to a zoner freeport. - the zoners there might consider me a customer.

but i must roleplay my own character. - and if i am serious about it ... i don t use zoners anymore when i consider them my enemy / prey.

about "someone in a praetorian" - thats another piece of roleplay. - if we went that way around - we d get a whole more complex world of borrowed gear from factions. - a zoner that was pirated by a praetorian might not know that its a gaian... thats correct. - however, he might know that a praetorian is a corsair ship... and who knows... the relationship ( hence the prices ) for goods sold to corsairs might be raised just a tiny bit more to reflect that.

are the corsairs involved? - not directly.... no. - have they allowed the gaian to fly a praetorian? - yes. thats a sort of punishing someone that has been "innocent" in that particular incident - but in the end, it hits the correct person. - if people dig a bit into it, they ll find out that it is some gaian that is responsible for the bad prices. - and its not gonne be the zoners that will investigate that... but rather the corsairs. - a result might be that the corsairs won t allow any "brand" gear to others than themselves anymore.

so it ll hurt the gaians in the end, too.

but thats a very complex thought there that is not - or cannot be reflected in the game.

but the consequences that i talked about are purely upon oneself. - when i blow zoners up, i try to become red to them, not cause the zoners make me - but cause i want to play ( roleplay ) my char convincingly. - and those that i blow up might not know me, but blowing people up ( killing them ) means that my ( ! ) char doesnt respect / like them much - so i myself try to get them red.

its just about how serious one is about the roleplay. - if i don t want to get zoners red, no one can make me to... its really only upon myself.
