Because the systems guy is the one to blame for story changes.

Historically he is; Omicron Nu. - He jumped the gun on system implementation, so much had to be scrapped/revised/changed by Story to the point it made even less sense than it might've to begin with.

I will also note that as a member of Story at the time, it was also a joint failing in communication between the departments as it were. But credit where credit is due, Markam has a way of motivating himself to do stuff that I could only hope for and then does them. More than you could say for some. He was enthusiastic or simply just wanted to get stuff out there to players, either way, he just went for it. Can't truly blame him in hindsight.

I've also seen Devs frequently talk between departments about Story ideas and often imput comes from outside Story, so don't pretend that just because someone isn't in Story doesn't mean they don't get a say. Unless the teams even more insular now?

I have also seen Systems Devs hold people at gun point with their work; "Either it's going to be this way, or I'm not doing it." attitude.

TLDR; People ain't saints, we all ***** up, nor do you have to be a Story Dev to influence Story.

I motivate myself with alcohol and a weird perseverance that I don't know why I have as a character trait, all things considered.

Also, sorry about Nu I kind of screwed that up by doing too much at once.

Also, Systems devs sometimes hold story at gunpoint because sometimes Story asks for weird shit like Hades. I still did it though, and hated every minute of it. Thanks to Aerelm for at least giving it a baller model. That's new this patch actually and I think I wrote it in the notes.
