Lu saw that Sonja was at ease and happy which, in return, made her happy as well.
"Well Sonja, I cannot give you an exact time when your vessel will be operational after we made the upgrades. Our chief engineer has concluded the initial assessment and ran the numbers. He told me that integrating new systems into a vessel with old technology can be quite the undertaking..." she paused for a moment to let Sonja absorb the message after which she continued.
"Having said that, I have been told that it is possible and, when we have all the materials we need, we are looking at approximately 3 to 4 weeks of construction and a few days for testing."
Lu grabbed her datapad and opened the project folder.
"Now I ran the numbers for both materials and labor. The total cost of this project will be 345 million but, as I mentioned earlier, DSE can give you a discount so let's make it an even 300 million." she noticed that Sonja was thinking about what she just said. "All clients do." she thought as she mentally smiled.
"If you want I can give you some time to think about it yet should you agree on it now we can start the project straight away. Do know that DSE does require a down payment up front, this will be 10 percent of the total costs so in your case this would be 30 million"
Lu put down her datapad and took a sip from her tea wondering if Sonja would accept the deal.
