This will mark the second time this tag appears in a Official Faction Creation Request, having prior used in a niche Gallic Royal Intelligence faction originally by @Catbert with much attention to lore and RP-centric gameplay. Hiding a mystery behind its lines of texts, the Escadron XXII "Les Révélateurs" became one of only two main Enclave factions throughout the entirety of the lifespan of the Gallic Royal Enclave NPC faction.

Following the Reunification of Gallia, the Enclave Defense Authority pivoted once more into a Intel role, renaming itself the Gallic Security Bureau, this time under the direct banner of the new House Gallia, leaving the bulk of Military operations to the Marine Nationale Gauloise. Since that time, however, the realization was made that the intelligence oriented role play could not encompass all we wished to accomplish, leading to the resurrection of the \*/~ tag and the creation of the Gallic Defense Authority.

Similar to its predecessor the EDA from the Enclave era, the Gallic Defense Authority is designed and styled to be a conglomerate of military units, the Security Bureau included. The aim will not be to encompass the entirety of the Gallic Navy, but a primary force within it. We respect the historical role filled by the MNG and once again extend our arms in invitation to join our ranks.

In spite of all, the faction is intended to remain lore-heavy and character-focused, not to focus solely on PVP. Our overarching goal is to make Gallia interesting to all players and inviting to those wishing to play within her borders, whether that be a random trader, rogue smuggler, pirate, terrorist, enemy or ally. We will continue to remain egalitarian to all and believe that officialdom shall be a proof of quality of our RP and gameplay to all visiting Gallia.
