Omicron Rho Jump Gate marks as one of the most important endeavours of the Core, guaranteeing an easier flow of in and exported goods from the colonies and the Omicrons. Originally planned to be complete circa 829 AS, yet the investors increased funding and convinced EFL Board of Directors to speed up the construction progress. In order to meet their new deadline around December 828 AS, the amount of EFL and sub-contracted IDF vessels traversing Rheinland towards Sigma-15 is expected to spark dramatically within the next days.

Heavy activity of Rheinland's various criminal organisations is to be expected, and the authorities reportedly already began to relocate forces in order to secure the route leading from Cologne to Sigma-15.
