CHAPTER FOUR: THE PROSPECTIVE SOLUTION

A few hours was spent fine tuning the Starflier-1 wormhole generation simulation parameter, all of the information gathered was sent to the simulation test bench before the test was simulated for a final result. Albert arrives at the R&D suite, with the same research team resetting the workspace for a new test.

"Everyone, stop what you're doing. I may have found exactly what we're after."

Albert accesses a nearby terminal and pulls up the newly created generation parameter.

"I never created a test using this. What's Starflier-1?"

"I asked for the results of the second test a while ago. Since the result resembled something we're trying to achieve, I went through and tried to find out what's needed to gain a completely successful simulation. I uploaded it to this terminal for a final test, wanted all of you to see it."

"Well we're already in the middle of a reset. Team, prepare for simulation Starflier-1. Hope this works, Albert. Godspeed."

The team waits impatiently for Starflier-1 to be loaded up. A bunch of code and graphs appear in quick succession on the main display before the remotely activated jump drive and stabilizer ring is loaded into view. Albert looks around the room, gives a nod and runs the test with a keystroke.

A blinking word appears in front of the simulated video feed: SUCCESS.

Silence fills the room, the entire team looks in disbelief as the wormhole generated successfully. Albert nods and smiles, gazing at the wormhole and the spinning ring.

"I thought it'd be orange, not purple. Either way, this is beautiful!"

The main display continues to show this for the next few hours while the team tries to figure out how to celebrate their accomplishment.
