Good day Doctor Kosher,

Thank you for your message. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kris Tofferson and I am the administrator of Freeport 1.

I have reviewed your request and the proposed location of your station and have concluded it's intended location is too close to the Freeport. While I understand your desire to shield your research station from electromagnetic interference, for the safety of all those on board the Freeport I cannot and will not allow a research station to be constructed within 5 kms from the Freeport. Furthermore, while we certainly see IMG as our friends we are aware of your reputation and fear the presence of your station too close to the Freeport may jeopardise our neutral standing with parties hostile to you.

Having said that, I can agree with a position along the same alignment yet at a minimum of 5 kms from Freeport 1. This way you will still benefit from the electromagnetic shielding our solar arrays provide as well as the comfort of knowing your station is in the Freeport No-Fire-Zone (NFZ).

Should you accept my change to your plan please be aware of the fact that while your station resides in the NFZ the construction of weapon platforms (for whichever pupose) is strictly forbidden. I would also require that you inform any and all vessels traveling to and from your station to adhere to the policy of the NFZ regardless of whether they are fired upon first. Finally, as a friendly reminder, you may wish to contact Bretonian authorities prior to the construction of your station.
