Salam Alaikum, effendi Rodriguez.

Your message finds our family in double sorrow, respected Elder. My brother, the Imam's only son, was killed from behind during taking Viernheim base over. We destroyed an important Red Hessian stronghold in orbit of Tangier, but we lost a light beacon of our future. Bringing his son's lifeless body back to Casablanca made our Imam fall on his knees. We literally heard something cracked deep in his soul. He stole a bomber and went totally alone in general direction of enemy carrier Alvin Katz. About him we didn't hear since that day. Darkness is still present over our tribes, no matter how strong sun shines during the day and how big Kalhmera moon is during the bright cold nights.

Losing over one thousand of our bravest Fedayeen slayers didn't help the situation at all. They were first to embark to Viernheim and they took ten times more enemies down with them. But, their starving children are witnessing one fact every day: bravery of their fathers can't bring food to the table now. A thousand goats will be fairly distributed to mourning families as a token of gratitude from The Brotherhood. Goats are surely easier to milk than fire lizards and I'm sure many children will survive thanks to them.

However, now I'm the only heir of Imam and now in charge of all this mess. I'm Yasmin ibn Fedayeen and I salute you, Elder Rodriguez.

We obviously can't keep our way of life for yet another century *sigh*. Families with your goats will slowly shift to another way of living with the desert. They will become farmers, or they will perish. We will see what future it brings and let you know. Fertilizers and wheat seeds will also be welcome, in case you can spare some.

Rest of us will stay on deep meditations, farming cave mushrooms and sneaking to fire lizards. Milking a fire lizard is a nasty business, but that's how we get the best cheese on Crete and grow generations of sneakiest assassins in Sirius. We even have a proverb: one eye closed is enough to sleep well, or your hair in fire could wake you up.

Afferim. Prophet be merciful to souls of our enemies.

Alaikum Salam,
Yasmin ibn Fedayeen
