Hogosha in NY

I like the idea of a perpetual skirmish war between Junkers and Hogosha.

Each group has in common that they are a conglomerate--made up of many different individuals and individual groups.

Some Junkers and Hogosha would not want to bother with fighting and would simply avoid the other faction. others would be more milatiristic or profiteering and would "battle" rival Junker factions.

Basically gang wars over turf.

It makes playing each group more fun and there are plenty of places for each to go. In fact, some Hogosha or Junker players could rp "enforcers' going out looking for drive bys on the opposition.

For example; Junkers are neutral to Corsairs but Hogosha are allied to them.

This generates some interesting conflict scenarios. In like manner Outcasts might be helpful to Junkers (which would reflect the news note that Junkers have committed financial support to their side in the war).
Whatever is done, leave the conflicts.

Going back a bit to Blodo's statement about the Hogosha keeping Junkers out of Kusari....if we make a server rule that Junkers can't dock in Kusari the "Hogosha" aren't really doing anything--its an artificial thing that brings no fun to either factions players.

Right now, as a Junker, there is no real incentive to sell artifacts--cardamine is a much better price deal--why bother with artifacts? Its just as profitable to ignore them as to sell them. And Hogosha do have no where to sell theirs at a real profit but in Liberty.

The news also specifically states that the Hogosha have gotten the artifact business away from Orbital Spa and Cruise so buying artifacts on the cruise ship is kinda oorp on that. If you 'fix' that then you also disable the Hogosha-Corsair alliance which is something that opens doors to other Hogosha rp activity as well.

Ever consider a Hogosha company that uses its alliance with the Order to harvest nomads and sell the gathered components back in Kusari at the good prices at the bases there? Maybe Hogosha doing something together with the Corsairs--as in a fighting unit working with Corsairs to interdict cardamine shipments.

All kinds of things can happen. If you dumb it all down to "stay in Kusari", they are place holders again and will continue to have few players. All that to keep the sensibilities of vanilla which Disco has already changed regarding them.
