You can send it to my bell-boy with a latte machiatto please.

Don't you worry my friend, we have regular residents in this thread who seem intent on moving the goal-post on a regular basis. As the saying goes, I offer them money, they'll play the man of honor and take umbrage. I will ask them to do what is right and they'll play the brigand.

If you can't deal with or address an argument, why mention it at all?

Didn't address my point. Also false equivalence. Has nothing to do with the topic.

You didn't refute my argument or address it. Also your somehow ridiculous comeback has literally nothing to do logically with what I said. But I'll play along. Even if I was to accept your premise, it's absolutely clear as day that we give blues on a regular basis. More so than probably any other group currently on the server. We've held multiple events, two of which public, and one of which with real RP consequence for us and we've lost both public events. We lose battles on a regular basis. Your comment is absolute nonsense and the evidence is abundantly clear in this thread and even supported passionately from our enemies. Nothing more to add here really, as it's clear as day.
(03-21-2022, 02:42 PM)James Greed Wrote: Hope you can see how that one sounds now. I admit, it is problematic to balance such a fight. That however requires you to try balancing it, and not just say "we did it" while solaris cruisers rain down on lone bombers/snubs.
That's a two way street and it requires communication.
(03-21-2022, 02:42 PM)James Greed Wrote: Please enlighten me about that one. I'm sure it'll be a knee slapper.
I don't need to really. If you agree with the rest of my propositions, which you state that you do, then you have the rationale for what we do and why we do it.
As mentioned publicly, we are more than happy to host an event with equal numbers to make other factions that are our enemies happy. This is public knowledge by now and has been for awhile.
The real knee slapper for me was the ''actual pseudo-seriousness'' phrase, gave me a good chuckle.

I am sorry but that's comedy gold statement right there. This server has been decaying in terms of player base long before DTR showed up at all. And to claim that the most newbie friendly faction on the server is harming and demotivating, or making people quit the game is absolutely hysterical. One look at the OF checks or relevant data will tell you that or even player count and faction activity. I mean the data is visible for people to see.

I am not sure what are you basing your argument on in terms of us running away. As evidenced by our enemies as well on this thread, we provide blues constantly. Just so I don't rinse-repeat the same argument, see my previous points above. To claim DTR wins every fight because of numbers or we win even regularly is again just ludacris. Even on the occasions that we do win, we usually lose a bunch of people due our fleet coordination still being trained, way more than we should. This is clearly visible to all.
Last coordinated public event we hosted, we lost without getting a single kill if memory serves me correctly or maybe we got 1 person. So honestly, this argument is just nuts.
(03-21-2022, 03:39 PM)Kauket Wrote: I've always limited numbers where I can and I certainly not have sent 12 people onto 2 nor 5. And balancing around capital gameplay is always difficult. How the FUCK are you supposed to balance VERY HEAVY FIGHTERS against a group of BATTLESHIPS? Are you insane?
Here's a novel, bold, and radical idea. Maybe don't engage a battle group? I really don't get this mentality that some players seem to have. ''I am going to engage and attack an entire battle group, talk trash or whatever, and then when I get mopped, I come and complain I didn't get a fair fight.''
Worth mentioning is that we do not control indie Corsairs or Corsairs from other affiliations. That fact often seems glossed I've noticed even though quite often DTR flies together with indies.
I am all for fairness and that jazz but as already mentioned - people's idea about fairness only seems to encompass the numbers. Nobody seems to be concerned about player skill level, tech being used. And again, the numbers seem to only apply to us. But everyone else is fair game in terms of using it.

As stated multiple times, we are more than happy to accommodate and host an equal numbers event like we've done with our other enemies. We can even attach RP or actual consequences to it. I don't know how much more sportsmanship one can get than that. But if we are being real honest, it's likely that we'll lose as you can get some vets on your side and whip us because we probably have maybe 3 players in DTR who are competent in PvP on an equal footing. And guess what, I am fine with that.

Please don't make yourself into a martyr. We are not the evil empire in this universe. We made an internal group event to help you. You seem to have conveniently forgotten.
