Malta Hyperspace Starfleet

Report: Tau-53 Skirmish and Acquired Nuclear Devices
Stardate: 11.3.829

Routine patrols in the Taus have been usual and calm lately but our last patrol in the Tau-53 system proved to be quite fruitful.

Considering the state of affairs of the Tau-53 system an elite patrol squad of bombers was deployed to keep the area around Tau-37 jump hole in check. Patrol squad was led by Alpha Explorer, HS>Audaz and consisted namely of HS>Alumbro, HS>CaminoDeFuego, HS>Santiago,Rosario and myself, HS>Sonador.Ansioso. The atmosphere after reaching the Tau-53 just felt something unusual. The civilian traffic was not to be seen miles away but the military from either side, Gallia or Kusari, seemed to be exceptionally active. Noticing the unusual activity we called for backup and were soon joined by HS>Asesino-7, Ironheart, L\-MNS-Asuncion, Diego.Espinoza, Angelica,Perez. Dreadnought MNS-Arragon and Battleship Conquistador~ also joined us as the situation seemed to be escalating in middle of the system.

From what we saw, it was clear as day that Gallic Navy had begun some sort of operation to catch a black market thief which had stolen their Industrial secrets, Nuclear devices and millions of credits.

Whether the Kusarians were simply standing guard against the Gallic Navy or had some sort of deal or intel about the thief remains unknown. The thief was caught by the Gallic Navy in sector 5D of the system where they were greeted by the KNF as we were watching from not too far away. Gallic Navy and KNF started battling it out as the thief was trapped in place. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity we joined the frey. A skilled freelancer, Lipstick.Reaver, passing through was hired by the Alpha Explorer as we lacked the firepower to fight the overwhelming numbers and firepower of the enemy ships. A lone Maquis battlecruiser also joined the battle. The following are recordings of the battle captured by my ship:

With the incredible leadership of our Comandante, Audaz Alarcon and the skills of our elite pilots and crew, we were able to take down all our foes. Although we lost many of our camarades, we were the last ones standing.

After the battle was over and the air seemed to calm The.Swindler tried to negotiate with us offering us just about nothing to let him pass through. When we asked for more, the thief tried to run but was effortlessly caught and destroyed. But the Industrial secrets and millons of credits were stolen by the freelancer, Lipstick.Reaver. We tried to stop him but to no avail. Rest of the precious cargo he had was tractored in by the Alpha Explorer and the credits were distributed to the rest. The nuclear devices from Gallia were then taken back to Malta where they will be carefully examined and utilized as I escorted the Alpha Explorer.

This was a tough blow to both Gallia and Kusari. It is now about time that we push Gallia and Kusari back with our might. Another step towards sirius-wide domination!
