Encountered unknown craft within system designated "Alaska". Its presence was unanticipated. Craft occupant demanded the A.M.E.E. exit from the system. Evasion systems concluded that due to the unknown craft's size and lack of trade lanes, evasion would only have a 32.8% chance of success. The A.M.E.E. complied with orders to exit.

Unknown craft has been added to identification database as extremely hostile due to unwarranted threats of destruction of the A.M.E.E. unit. Ship markings have also been added to identification database. Notation added: Avoid at all costs. Determined to be highly aggressive.

Encounter caused errors in programming. A note has been added to have those errors looked at and corrected.

Mapping of system designated "Alaska" resumed at time code: 6012:209:637:085. Preliminary mapping found a magnetic and gravimetric anomaly consistent with a Jump Hole in grid G-4. Location of the other end was located in system designated "Virginia" at grid C-1. This will allow for more discreet entry to finish mapping mission. The A.M.E.E. has concluded that it was the Jump Gate that alerted the hostile craft to the presence of this craft. Mapping was 75% complete before contact was made with unknown hostile craft. Calculate a 97.6% probability that mapping will be completed before another encounter.

Evasion systems indicate that the A.M.E.E. should use Jump Holes for a period of time to avoid further hostile encounters.

Mapping of system designated "Alaska" completed at time code: 6012:209:640:618. No further encounters with unknown hostile craft. Mapping data uploaded to secured storage. Moving to new system for mapping.
