Think less about the actual stability and practicality of a jump hole, think more about Ageria's profit margins. Currently they posses all knowledge and technology along with DSE and a few smaller companies that are interconnected regarding Jump Gates and Trade-Lanes, they license this technology to the Houses for large sums of money.

Chances are they figured out long ago that Jump Holes are stable, but if they say there what happens to their money? What happens to their contracts? What happens to the new Jump Gates? Its not in their best interest to publicise the existence and stability of Jump Holes, it would put them out of business.
