CAPTAINS LOG - Entry #12: Recruitment

It took some time to get Galveston Outpost properly up and running with its new role as operational hub for the Insurgency in Texas but it is finally ready for use. As such, it only seems right to celebrate and what better way to celebrate than to launch a strike against the corrupt government. Not only will it make for a good way to test the stations new support capabilities in the region, it will also serve to inspire the civilian population of Liberty to join up with the Insurgency and strike against their corrupt oppressors.

That is the hope from the higherups anyway. I'm not sure we'll get recruits by the boatloads just by launching a few strikes in all honesty, but me and the crew are all for bringing some pain to the Liberty government after what they did in Bering.
Fortunately my Junker contact at Beaumont Base came through, with the stations sensor grid available to us we were able to detect a promising Liberty Police convoy presumably on their way to the LPI Huntsville. While the insurgency holds no special love for common criminals, there is a slim chance the convoy holds some of our captured brothers and sisters.

Needless to say we cannot leave this opportunity untaken, the Insurgency needs every advantage it can get and freeing experienced staff would do wonders both for our personnel staffing and morale. I ordered one of the Torments fighter wings ahead in order to disrupt the lanes, once we take out the escort Galveston Outpost will send a freighter over so we can free the prisoners. It wont be a particularly comfortable ride for them, but given the alternative I doubt they'll complain too much.

Time to show Liberty the fangs of the Insurgency.
