It has been several months since Galveston Outpost became fully operational and the Insurgency started increasing its operations in the region. The Torment has been in several skirmishes with the Liberty Navy since my last log entry. I believe I mentioned the raid on the prison convoy; the first operation the Torment launched in the Texas system under the Insurgency banner.

The assault was a success, while the convoy was able to detect our approach they were unable to do so on time to change the outcome. Faced with the firepower of the Torments weaponry, as well as the fighter and bomber wings, they had little choice but to stand down and surrender. The prisoners were a mixed bag, the majority were common criminals but some were noteworthy. We liberated several Xenos, a gesture of respect to our prior friendly relations during the Hellfire Legion days. More importantly however, we were indeed able to recover some of our own lost troops.

Not all of the confrontations were as fortuitous however; as time passed the Liberty Navy was able to reorganize and mount counter assaults. We have taken some losses as a result, but while the Torment has seen better days we persevere. I'll say this: one major advantage of having such a large asset operate in the Texas system has no doubt convinced Liberty that the Torment is the operational hub for the Insurgency in the system. Thanks to this Galveston Outposts safety should be further guaranteed for now.

It is vexing though, while the former Separatist assets and personnel have come in useful, we lack the firepower to materialize any major victories. I suppose we need to be patient for now, wait for the Fleet to be fully repaired.
