Subject: Report of engagement
Greetings Commander,
I was on a patrol through Alpha today along with 101st pilots Raul Sanchez and Damian Chavez. our long range scanners picked up an IMG Gunboat in Tau 37. Callsign =CR=Iblis. We immediately set course for said system joined by SOB pilot Executioner and independant Outcast pilot Paul Jackson. After we entered the system and some scouting the targets position was established. We received a strange transmission from the miner, something in the line of "uh oh" after that he made a hasty jump to tau 23. We followed in pursuit and caught up with him just as we exited the jump. We continued to engage the target, after some fighting pilot Chavez unfortunately sustained heavy damage to his ship and had to retreat. The rest of us continued with heavy fire which resulted in the targets destruction. The miner again started transmitting strange messages from his escape pod but they could not be decrypted. Below follows a recon photo of his ships destruction.
