Travis sat at the bar, sighing into his drink. Once he'd been an ace pilot, fighting for humanity. Now here he was shuttling a brilliant scientist but barely competent human around in the Omicrons making sure he was safe...in a rickety old Corvo no less. The old man sat at a table nearby the bar, nodding and speaking to himself while sitting over a data pad with the most recent data points that he had compiled on their recent trip. They were meeting some Albert or other here that they'd run into on one of their excursions into one of the Omicron Systems.

Travis sighed again, before taking another drink.

"I really need to get another damn job." he mumbled.

Meanwhile, Doctor Braun was pouring over the recent data that they had obtained from Omicron Zeta. Fascination showed in his eyes and he reviewed all of the data points that he had collected. He never was good with people, but data...well data he understood. Other humans he didn't. They were foreign to him. Even as a grown man he found them annoying and off-putting. He would much rather just research all day and be left alone. The only one he tolerated was Travis Davenport, his pilot. He was young, but kind. Even though Dr. Braun clearly strained him with his personality.

They were here waiting for Albert McKenzie, someone he'd run into while out doing his research. He had some interesting theories that had changed his outlook on his own theories. He had reached out asking if he wanted to discuss things and while he hadn't responded, he believed that Travis had in his stead. That was why they were here after all.

"So pesky, meeting people face to face." he mumbled while sorting through his data. "Why can't we just do messages over a instant message communication. So troublesome. So troublesome."

You fear oblivion. Yet you forget. The universe remembers every atom of your being. Even dust hums your name in the dark.
