Your brother, Lieutenant Johnson, notified me to expect an application from you. As far as academia is concerned, I wouldn't worry too much. If you are anything like your brother, then the Navy is absolutely the place for you.

I am pleased to advise you that your application has been considered by Command and is accepted with immediate effect. You will begin your Naval career with the Forty-sixth at the rank of Ensign, along with a brief probationary period to ascertain suitability to life and duty within the Fleet.

Report in to either myself, or any of the Admiralty, at Salt Lake Station, Naval Headquarters in New York for briefing, patrol assignment and we'll get you situation and up to speed.
