A few days ago I encountered a Freelancer flying a Serenity full of Cardamine. I thought about blowing him up the old Maquisard way but I guess I was in a good mood and demanded some Cardamine for the boss to send to the research division. The Unione Corse could probably make use of it too in their quest to get people to use Nox.

During our conversation, some pirate frigate named "Pawn" showed up. The Cardamine smuggler fled to Tau-23, but we gave chase. Pawn managed to deal the final blow and we tractored in the Cardamine. I brought some of it back to Charost for secure storage and to forward to the Corse at the earliest opportunity.

Stupid transport pilot too, he kept calling me a hypocrite. If he was smuggling Cardamine in a Valor, we would not have had that conversation. I pick my battles.

[FLG]NT-Rebel: I can't say I'm a big fan of that.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Why? Why cardamine? The Outcasts aren't exactly nice people.
Kent_Mansley: True, but last I checked this isn't Gallia
Kent_Mansley: And not all Outcast's are bad people
[FLG]NT-Rebel: True it's not Gallia, and I do feel patriotism towards Gallia, even though the Union believes otherwise.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: But I'm not here to enforce the Union's laws.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: How about this, normally I take some cargo and let you go.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: But cardamine....
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I think my boss would be interested in analyzing some of that stuff. So how about 300 units and we can part ways.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm not sure I even want to try to use this stuff.
Kent_Mansley: I don't know if my contact would be too happy about that
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm not asking man.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I wouldn't try my luck if I were you.
Kent_Mansley: Maybe we could work out something else
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Uh huh.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: You better talk quick because I'm getting impatient.
Kent_Mansley: Why, you got somewhere to be?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: No, but you are testing my patience.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: You seem awfully eager to drift into that trade lane.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: So why don't you back off before my guns shift directions.
Kent_Mansley: I ain't goin in sideways if that's what you think
[FLG]NT-Rebel: You never know. Now talk before I shoot.
Kent_Mansley: Can't imagine that would be too comfortable

[FLG]NT-Rebel: I asked for 300 units to bring to my boss.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm waiting for that, and you wanted to "negotiate"
Kent_Mansley: I thought you said you don't like the stuff?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: That's right, I don't.
Kent_Mansley: and you're going to give it to your boss?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Well let's see what he has to say about it.
Kent_Mansley: ain't that kinda hypocritical?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Yeah I know.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'll let him decide what to do with it.
Kent_Mansley: Or, you could let me go
[FLG]NT-Rebel: The alternative is you could drop all of it and I'll blow it all up.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: What good would that do me?
Kent_Mansley: We'll if you give it to your boss you're just distributing
Kent_Mansley: that would make you no better than me
Kent_Mansley: on the other hand, you let me go, you at least no it's no going to any of your people
[FLG]NT-Rebel: True. The alternative then is to do this the old Maquis way oui? Just blow stuff up.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: The Maquis already hate the Outcasts...
[FLG]NT-Rebel: And you're helping them... hmmm.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: This is starting to sound like a good idea.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Oh a pirate.
Pawn: Interesting.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Interesting indeed.
Pawn: Have any luck so far?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm pretty close to hitting the red button on this cardamine smuggler.
Pawn: This-
Pawn: Aha!
Pawn: Now now now, I wouldn't mind that cargo for myself.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Er, I guess I won't judge if you want some.
Kent_Mansley: Wow, what a hypocrite
Pawn: Lets fill these pods up.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Eh, I pick my battles.
Pawn: Captain of the Kent Mansley. Or if that's just your name. Whichever.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: If you haven't noticed, you kind of outgunned here.
Pawn: You will transfer over as much of your cargo to the Pawn now.
Kent_Mansley: You won't let me sell it to people who need it, but you'll et a pirate have it.
Pawn: My kids need to eat, too.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Again, I pick my battles.
Pawn: Tractorbeam is set. Opening transfer.
Pawn: Oh.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Powering weapons.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: This one is running.
Pawn: Bad luck. I'll crack it out then.
Pawn: Tough luck. Crack it.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Now then.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Time to open fire. Turret mounts. Fire at will

Pawn: We've no issue with you, so we'll just take this nicely to sell.
Pawn: Today, we are ships passing in the night of space!
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I prefer people use Nox but... again, I pick my battles.
