Inoue, Keishi-chō |KSP|Inoue.Makoto Incident: Strange Nomad sighting in New Tokyo, another strange ship in Kyushu Details of Event: During my patrols, I came across a large Nomad ship in New Tokyo. It was approximately the size of a Tokugawa, maybe slightly larger. As warned by the Kempeitai, it used telepathy to communicate, so there are no logs to include in my report. Interestingly, unlike the previous Nomad ship that I had encountered, this one was interested in "conversation", and was not shooting everything and everyone in sight.
Basically, it claimed that it was an "explorer", and that it seeks "information". Talked about some historical figure, and how this person sought knowledge, which came with power and thus came with corruption. When I returned this line to this Nomad and how it also seeks "information", it was adamant that it was above such desires and was incorruptible. Sounded a little arrogant to me. It quickly disappeared when other ships showed up. I would suggest approaching this Nomad ship with caution, we still know little about it and we need to be vigilant.
Later in my patrols, I received a distress call on a private channel, somehow, from a ship somewhere in the Seiran Dust Cloud. When I had arrived, I located the ship that issued the distress call, which was some strange half-living ship with nomad technology..... along with a Gen'an bomber, Gen'an gunboat, and an Outcast. This ship called itself Radiance and claimed to be prototype from Kempeitai, which was improbable but certainly plausible at first. After further questioning, this ship said "We derived our technology from them, yet they haven't been active in a long time". Based on my years of policing, it's easy to smell deception and this line gave it away. It did not reveal who it meant by "we" and "our", which was already suspicious language in and of itself, but I also had serious doubts that a secret prototype ship of the Kempeitai would start revealing the origins of alien technology in a prototype ship to Gen'an and Outcast ships in the area. The Gen'an gunboat was itching to blow up this ship, so after I was satisfied that this strange ship was not from Kempeitai, I let the Gen'an gunboat do what they always do against hostile ships, and it took out the strange ship. Another strange thing that occurred was that scanners showed prisoners aboard this Radiance, who had apparently disappeared when the ship was destroyed. I advise all units to be on alert for this ship that's masquerading as Kempeitai, and to not hesitate to destroy this ship.
Bernard-2: Sure you had plenty of time to focus on such thing for them to be attacking you.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: So... so... much light
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: The one time I'm kinda glad the police is here.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: I see one
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: [REQUESTING BACKUP]
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: What's going on here?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: [MULTIPLE HOSTILES]
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: I received a strange distress call on a little known frequency.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: This is the Radiance, we found some hostiles
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: This idiot here flying a suspicious ship with Nomad technology claims to be a Kusari prototype.
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Sent us an SOS.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Okay Radiance. Who are you?
Bernard-2: Correct.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Prototype from the kusari national intelligence
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Do you believe that story, Inoue?
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: I am not privy to many things from the Kempeitai, but this one is quite... extraordinary.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Easy now
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: In other words, it's difficult to believe.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Is it not?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: How much do you *really* know, about the kempetai?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~Do you know anything at all?~
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: And this alien technology, I'm starting to go crazy after encountering telepathic Nomads earlier today.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~Calm~
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: I find that hard to believe, Nomads in Kusari space
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Can I just shoot it down already?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: We derived our technology from them, yet the haven't been active in a long time
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~These ones seem rather agressive~
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Keep talking Radiance, I'm listening... for now anyway.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: What do you want me to continue on about?
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: I'll show you aggressive when the officer's done with you.
Bernard-2: This unit claimed it was attacked by Samura.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Samura?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Pshh
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~Are the outcasts really in it, for you?~
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: The word of an Outcast, versus the word of an... whatever this is.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: The Radiance.
Bernard-2: I have no reason to lie, but you seem to, cause you've been doing nothing but lying this whole time.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Right, Radiance, with some secret technology.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~The Outcasts deceive, lie, steal~
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: So, who is "we", Radiance?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Yes, you have a problem with that?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~And you let them walk all over you, disregard your stances~
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Us?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: You, and me
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Your story isn't adding up Radiance.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Adding up or not...
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Are there not bigger threats?
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: You said "we" derived "our" technology from them.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Certainly not my technology.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Or what the police force uses.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ?: Continue on and we will both be dead
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: I won't harm the officer.
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Only you.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: [a wave of calming warmth is radiated out]
Bernard-2: As long as he doesn't become a nuisance, that is.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~You really think that becomes a threat?~
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~He is not a threat? To your survival?~
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Alright, Inoue, have you heard enough?
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~We can help you all you need...~
Bernard-2: Right now, there's a bigger fish in front of me than the cop.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Yes I've heard enough. I don't care for this thing, doesn't sound like Kempeitai to me.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Do as you wish.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: [Lights flare across the ship, as if it were alive]
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~Wills to be fulfilled, voices speak throughout the water~
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~Help me...~
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: It's going down then.
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~Strike them down...~
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: ~Ours will return to *others* to bring to the light~
Scorpion.Beta-Lambda: [A discharge of light explodes out the ship]
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Leave it to me.
GC-Yunoki.Misaki: Standing down
Bernard-2: Let's witness what the sisterhood is capable of.
Death: Scorpion.Beta-Lambda was put out of action by GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori (Gun).
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Wrong system to come in.
Bernard-2: And down goes the thing.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Well, that was that.
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Kempetai, huh.
GC-Yunoki.Misaki: What happened to the GC on board?
Bernard-2: Turned to dust i suppose.
GC-Yunoki.Misaki: Maybe they were never there
GC-Yunoki.Misaki: Just an illusion
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Could be.
Bernard-2: For what prupose?
GC-Yunoki.Misaki: Alien prank
Bernard-2: Well i'm sure you would prefer to believe that rather than that they died.
GC-Yunoki.Misaki: There is no proof of that
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Now then, shall I head back to base or are you looking to kill me too?
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: You can head back to base as long as you promise to report this.
GC-Yunoki.Misaki: Eh...
Bernard-2: You're taking too long to vacate the area.
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: I'll choose to believe your promise.
GC-Yunoki.Misaki: I agree with Yuuko-san
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Oh this is definitely going into my report, along with the Nomad sighting.
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: That is, of course, as much as me and Misaki-chan are concerned. I do not speak for the Outcasts.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Well Outcast? What will it be?
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: -Of course- the Nomad sighting is going into your report.
Bernard-2: I couldn't care less if you report it or not. Go for it.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: Well, unless flowers see Nomads in New Tokyo every day,but I doubt it.
|KSP|Inoue.Makoto: I will take my leave then.
GC-Ho-Ho-Hoshihokori: Hinohara: Good luck.
