I had an interesting conversation with a Gallic Navy destroyer captain today. Initially, for a good five minutes, no one was responding to my hails. I bet some people were asleep at the radio. Hah! Anyway, the captain finally responded and we have a nice chat. He seemed... open to my conversation that he's fighting for the wrong side, that he's fighting on the side who massacre innocent people. I don't think he realizes that all he is doing is defend the interests of the elite in Gallia. I don't know what the Gallic Navy has been feeding him, but apparently he thought that the Maquis are responsible for the lack of peace between Gallia and the rest of Sirius. I found that kind of preposterous actually - I mean, who's in government? Who's responsible for Gallia's foreign affairs? The Front would have done a much better job in those positions.

Anyway, in the end, the captain of this destroyer seemed like a bright individual. He used his brain unlike some of these Navy lemmings who just do as they're told. He seemed responsive to what I had to say, took one of our leaflets and we went our separate ways. Who knows, there may be potential in this individual!

[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Really? Oh this one I picked up from the battlefield.
GNS-Tourville: S: You sure?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I know I said I was going to take yours, but I forgot.

[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Say, why does the Navy hate the Maquis so much anyway?
GNS-Tourville: S:Well you ppl domake us hate you just take a look on your cargo full with lies about us.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: You call them lies, but what if they are truths?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: What did we do to make you hate us?
GNS-Tourville: S: Some may be true but... ah.Lets just say there is in anything some litle truth.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: But why though? Because your politicians made you think we're just terrorists blowing up ships?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: If that's the case, you would have been space dust and we wouldn't be talking.
GNS-Tourville: S: Yea but there is two side on a coin. You ppl do make sirius hate us and we cant make peace with them.
GNS-Tourville: S: So we cant have that so yea we do battle you!
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: But that doesn't make sense. You blame a movement who fights for the people...
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: but your politicians are the ones who deal with external affairs.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Have you asked them why there is no peace with the rest of Sirius?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Which isn't exactly true. There is no longer a war with the Kusari Empire.
GNS-Tourville: S: You cant fight for the people if you kill them with viruses!
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Um, is that what they've been telling you??
GNS-Tourville: S: Yea they dont invade us now that the gets gotten shut down!

[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Have you heard of the Mazagran massacre?
GNS-Tourville: S: Yes that what we hear on the navy news.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: And, you don't see anything morally wrong with what the navy did?
GNS-Tourville: S: Yes i do but i am not the Fleetadmiral even so i cant do anything about orders maximum denie and get executed.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Sure, you're not the admiral, but you have a brain. And I can see the righteous in you.
GNS-Tourville: S:Also ... was that not ex councile ship?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Mazagran was a depot.
GNS-Tourville: S: Not the base... The battleship.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I don't know about the battleship, I was talking about the base.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: When the council joined the confederacy, they attempted to capsure Mazagran.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: //capture*
GNS-Tourville: S: It was destroyed by the battleship De Grase that was ex councile ship.
GNS-Tourville: S: Yes
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Yes the base was destroyed... after they gassed everyone inside.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Because they were unable to capture it the conventional way.
GNS-Tourville: S: Hmmm Gas? thats new to me was it not blown up by siege weaponry?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: That's the sort of tactics that the Navy employed. Does that not morally trigger something inside of you?
GNS-Tourville: S: Well cant know anything but i believe you foe now
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Yes they gassed everyone first. Then it was blown up.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: They tried to blow it up first but failed.
GNS-Tourville: //for*
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Well knowing that, look at your uniform. Does it still make you proud?
GNS-Tourville: S: Well ... I dont know what to say
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Think about it. Think about what and who you are fighting for.
GNS-Tourville: S: I have someone who knows things but i cant contact him for now to ask about this.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I hope this person doesn't have a hidden agenda or want to "persuade" you a certain way.
GNS-Tourville: S: No he is nothing of that sort but He is someone that knows someone ect. and can get some information.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I know you are told that these are lies, but I'm offering you a copy of the leaflets I am carrying.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Maybe you will see where I am coming from, and what the navy has been telling you.
GNS-Tourville: S: Ok i look it over and maybe i can see some clarity.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I hope you will give it some thought.
GNS-Tourville: S: Captain lets meet again in some days.

GNS-Tourville: S: First i do need to make a safe line for that comm
