Whispers in the Dark

Rick chuckled, the thought of spending more then a week on New Berlin was a miserable thought. If the weather didn't make you want to leave the people would. Many of the customs of Rheinland, especially the hardier stock of New Berlin, could often be abrasive to outsiders who were not explicitly ready for it. A product of their environment he assumed and moved on. They walked across the hangar bay to an elevator situated near the back of the room. There a woman with long tightly braided hair waited for them, .

"Arbiter, we have finished all preparations for your journey." She handed Victor a keycard. "Further we have completed preparations for your guest as well."

"Excellent, thank you Roxy I can always trust you to keep this place running tight when I am not around. Get yourself a drink on my tonight."

With the flick of a finger he transferred credits into her account before he and Victor boarded the elevator. As the elevator hummed upwards Rick began to speak:

"Some might call it hedging my bets, some might say I am crazy, some have said I am crazy. Regardless the facts stand, Sirius is getting dangerous and in times like these only two types walk away: The Smart and The Strong."

The elevator dinged as they reached their final destination. Stepping out of the elevator into the center of a large circular room with a massive domed skylight arching overhead giving an incredible view of space. The room, easily 50 meters in diameter, was lined with bookshelves, interspacing the shelves were pieces of fine art below which on smaller tables sat ornate works of craftsmanship from across Sirius. From some hidden speakers music played. This place stood in stark contrast to the dark greasy veneer that showed out to the rest of the galaxy.

As Tiltman guided Steiner across the hall to a large set of oak doors upon which was the congressional Seal inlaid with gold beyond which was a smaller room with a similar layout, albeit considerably smaller, within was a large septagonal table with a digital map of Sirius and Gallia rendered above it's center. The table was fairly non-descript, large wooden, and likely very expensive. The chairs around it were a different story, each sporting the customizations of it's owner. On each face sat 7 chairs, each emblazoned with the the seals of each of The Great Houses. One however, stood out above the rest. a large ornate wooden chair with the congressional seal emblazoned within wood carvings on it's back.

"Welcome, to the Congressional Chambers" He gestured around the room.

"From here, I can personally oversee all Junker activities anywhere in the sector. From here, I can see and hear almost anything that happens on a Junker base. Now please take a seat,"

He motioned for Victor to take a seat at the table before sitting in the large wooden chair himself and bringing up a keypad, hurriedly tapping way at it

"We have much to discuss, and not a whole lot of time in which to do so"

As he said this the map of The Sector over the table began zooming in on the Omegas.
