¬ Overview

Orkney (Gallic: Brittany) is a system within the Hebrides nebula and arguably a part of the Lambda Cluster. The system was largely ignored until a massive minefield cropped up by an unknown source, found later to have been Royalist Gallia. History states the minefield was breached by Council forces as they retreated from Languedoc. Orkney fell under Gallic control shortly after and remained as such even after the war ended. The system acts as a thoroughfare linking the Taus to Gallia.

Massive xenological activity within the Orkney system. Source of movement originated in the Omicrons and traveled through the Tau Cluster into Orkney. Xeno-forms identified as "Nomads". System locked down from Bretonian and Gallic governments to contain the threat. Xeno-forms are highly aggressive. Large amounts of infrastructural damage has been confirmed to stations, tradelanes, and installations. The infamous Issoudun is completely destroyed. Gallic forces have withdrawn from the system. Order agents have deployed in the system.

Extreme caution is required. Containment procedures required. System is locked down. Cooperation with Armed Forces and local organizations advised.
