Quote:Because if you drop out of lane with guns blazing, that is PVP whoring, and it is example of extremely bad roleplay. Do not do it.
Just a question, tell me why is that bad roleplay? From what I can see, that is exactly the RP you should be doing when a lawful encounters a criminal or vice versa. It is ooRP to start chatting up the criminal and exchanging pointless insults. People only do that to satisfy others who'd whine about getting killed without "RP", when in fact this "RP" they demand is in common sense, ooRP. I do it as well, I randomly insult a criminal or say I'm engaging or whatever before, but sometimes I don't, and when someone whines about it I laugh at them. Its more proper in RP to do what I'm doing, than what they demand. In RP my char would be what you call a pure example of a pvp whore, he wants to kill all pirates, everywhere he can, all the time. But that is his RP story, does that make him ooRP? During my time online for example on LN, I RP all the time in group chat, everyone who's ever seen me can confirm that. With criminals I only RP a lot in major fleet engagements or where LN could have heavy losses, I try to minimize my losses by tricking the enemy. If I'm in my fighter, or my BS for example, and I see a pirate fighter closing in, I will engage him on both chars. If I was on my BS I'd get called a cap whore for attacking a fighter in a BS, and what should I do in "RP" according to these puritans. I should log off my BS, which is in itself ooRP, and then I should proceed to log on my fighter to blast that one guy out of the sky. And this situation happens often, I've just learned one really simple way of dealing with things. Ignore the people whining on forums. Its much simpler, and much more fun to play then.
