Born and raised on Holstein, Gunter learned from an early age to work hard for Republican thanks to his family who were also part of Republican. He worked hard, but saw little gain, barely any raises, no promotions, despite being promised such.
After the Civil war, Republican started having layoffs, and I was the victim of such. My family fought and lost for my job, and they couldn't afford to help me out until I found something else.
I wandered, and by chance, heard rumors about the Unioners and their cause. I was excited, mainly to help my family and friends get the life they so desperately want.
