Why did you destroy Old Trafford?

Logged in and found myself in space miles away from anything. Now I see it is not there.

They decided to destroy both the Old Trafford and Planet Leeds SAR POBs. Here is a more relevant thread (locked).

"Cleaning up" was a "good [enough] reason" - for many, apparently.

Really? Couden destroyed both these bases simply to destroy them? So, BAF has an anti-POB bias. But I don't recall Old Trafford being in any serious decay if at all.

Couden is not BAF.

The Bretonian Government made this decision.

OK, sorry - Bretonia Government made the decision, but why? Couden is part of Bretgov? Something doesn't seem right. They have rules but I don't see why they want to blow Old Trafford PoB.

Well, let me tell you this.

We have way to many PoB's on the server, which are a pain in the ... for the server and for the gameplay. Some house Governments decided that, a unsupplied base, should get destroyed, because the owner doesn't care anymore.

In other words: They send a comm to the PoB owner and demand that they keep it supplied, if they don't do that, they siege it.

I honestly think that's the perfect way to keep the spam of PoB's to a minimum.
