Did a brief mapping patrol early today. As part of my familiarization with the territory, I went to Bering and Hudson to make sure that I knew where all of the jump holes were.

I had just found the jumphole from Texas to Hudson, in Hudson, when I chanced across someone who, due to their activity, has a KoS order on them - a slaver. I did order him to halt - he of course refused - and he had a small escort as well. I would suggest being on the lookout for:

Slaver
Escort comment

Jon_Banner - escorting a slaver, and he plans on being a pirate, since he did attack me
LR-CargoCult D - since I've just shown you the proof of his being a slaver

He was QUITE shocked to see me in Hudson, too. I think that if it'd just been he and I that I could've taken him. There were some Xenos in the area causing problems, which didn't help matters. That, and I didn't realize that his escort was there to escort him - he was carrying a civilian ID, so I thought he was also a BH.

You'll note that I didn't come out of this unscathed - used almost half my bots and all my batts. I would love to claim that I took out the escort fighter, but I didn't.

Oh - and it's best that you don't ask where I'm getting my weapons, either.
