The mind of a demon

The Shrine shuddered.

Waves of energy enveloped the ancient structure, moving in unison across its body. Countless voices, united, sung in celebration. Revolving joyfully in a waltz within the mindscape, their dance fueled the fusion of the very essence of being. It was a moment of sensation, of conjugated excitement, euphoria and determination. Unrelenting and enlarging, a new voice joined the fray with each passing moment, enriching the palette of emotions. Anger, passion, care, curiosity. Gradually, the frantic movement of many grew symmetrical. Chaotic, incohesive cluster of pure energy shaped itself into a rounded, disciplined form. Wave after wave, each contributed a small part of their own.

From unity, came the mind.

The voices dispersed, their conjoined efforts retained a cohesive shape. Yet it could not yet exist without a shell.

The material grown within the nucleus of The Shrine came into motion, accumulating in one of its chambers. Like a ceramicist, it was giving shape to a husk fit for an infant mind. Soft material shaped into organs, firmly attached to its skeleton, enveloped in layers of adaptive matter. The exterior stretched out, forming a distinct shape of a Nomad Morph.

The Shrine carried a dormant newborn into its vessel, gently fusing the luminous being with its physical brain.

"Awaken."

The synapses accelerated. Its organs took motion. A first image formed within an infant's vision. Incohesive, blurry white slowly took shape of its birth chamber. The mesmerizing beauty invoked the first emotion within an infant. It was fascinated.

The separating membrane slid open. The Shrine carried its offspring off into the infinite vastness of cosmos.

A demon is born.
