I certainly have no issues with education of players.
In my own case, I downloaded the game, joined the forum, read the list by Kuraine on ships, and kept pretty much to myself while I figured out some of the interactions, and took my time studying things. I didn't make very many posts to begin with, nor did I even consider joining a faction for more than a month.
However, and I think you'll agree, it's the players that do the exact opposite that cause the vast majority of our problems and issues with the game play. Again, how many times is the first post from a player going "Why am I banned?"
One thing a lot of you - especially those of you who haven't applied with us as yet - may not realize is that the S/D has an application process. You have to take AND PASS a multi-question test designed to check your knowledge of the server and faction rules. Failure to pass this test means that you may not join our faction at that time.
A test of the rules, especially for those people who get sanctioned, would be a good thing.
