He learned how to trade and fly thanks to his father, who gave him the whale when he turned 18. While trading was fun for Karl, he wanted to learn how to research various stars and anomalies, so he started studying for his Bachelors in Stellar Cartography. Karl is still working on it, but is in his last semester, so he should be getting it soon.
