Teodoro Alonso was a very close friend of Chenzo’s. They had known one another years. From the defence of Malta itself, to attacking enemy’s together all the way down to guarding shipments of The Orange Dream. Their estates on Malta lay side by side & covered a considerable portion of Malta’s most fertile surface for the production of Cardimine. This is how they had first met. Alonso specialised in the command of capital ships- He wasn’t born into service, merely a rich child who wanted expensive toys. The fact he became one of the best at strategic warfare & commanding the crews of these ships was pure luck. His strategic skills at the helm of any warship had made them brothers in arms as well as business. Alonso was very much uneasy with his friends close relation with the nomads, Chenzo had changed over the years- Still his over expressive and snap decision making self, something Alonso couldn’t quite put his finger on. He knew Chenzo’s obsession with weaponry & technology may quite well be his downfall one day, however there wasn’t a pilot Alonso had ever seen with the skills possessed by Chenzo. The forefront of the Ghosts defence & by extension, the entire Maltese population and her interests lay within this seemingly erratic individual’s mind. Yet his focus as of late has been on building this station, Alonso was concerned but none the less faithful. There were countless dreadnoughts and their commanders as well as a fleet further than the eye or scanners could comprehend that stood between Malta’s interests & her enemy’s, all loyal to a fault & would obey Chenzo with no delay.

Jared on the other hand had no such background with Chenzo. They’d fought alongside one another over the past couple of years & Chenzo wasn’t aware quite sure why he trusted Jared so much. Why he’d invited Jared here so prematurely was down to need. Long term, Jared needed Chenzo & right now, Chenzo needed somebody he could trust to operate a heavy lifter with no issues. Chenzo also intended the operation to bring Jared closer with trust.

After Jared finished speaking, Chenzo says:

“Is there anything else I need to explain? Are we in full understanding of what’s required tomorrow?”

Both Alonso & Jared shook their head as the conversation had been quite clear.

Chenzo: “Perfect. Alonso, if you hadn’t noticed the Fantasia moored up outside on your entrance then I’m sure you’ll find it now to quadruple check all systems ready for tomorrow, Jared if you can familiarise yourself fully with the Heavy Lifter & ensure it’s filled with jump fuel then tomorrow should go off without a hitch. We’ll meet just outside the station tomorrow for 21:30 to begin our first movement to collect the Bretonian ships, Understood?”

Both Alonso & Jarek nod before turning back to flicking through the mission data on the built in screens to the table they were sat.

Chenzo: Right, I’ll see you both at 21:30 tomorrow, an hour before launch. Please remember it’s crucial we spend as little time possible there. Talk to the station here if you need to get hold of me.” he smiles
