The Rheinland Police Department has been founded shortly after the re-unification between the Rheinland Federal Republic and the Empire of Rheinland. Despite the brief unrest between Federal and Imperial assets within the Department the Rheinland Police has managed to uphold good cooperation between former Federalists and Imperialists. The Rheinland Police Department is now working closely with other lawful authorities to maintain stable security within the borders of Rheinland. Fighting criminals on the one side and intercepting illegal shipments on the other all men and women within the department do their part for a safe and secure Rheinland.

Their task includes but is not limited to three main categories:

• GEFAHRENABWEHR, SECURITY DEFENSE
  - Overview, maintain security and order, within Rheinlands main star-systems.
  - Active combat actions against the criminal underworld of Rheinland.
  
  
• STRAFVERFOLGUNG, PROSECUTION
  - Launch operations against criminal organizations in cooperation with other lawful entities of house Rheinland.
  - Conduct anti-terrorism operations.
  
  
• FRACHTÜBERWACHUNG, CARGO MONITORING
  - Intercepting and destroying cargo considered illegal within Rheinland borders.

HÖHERER POLIZEIVOLLZUGSDIENST, (HIGH-COMMAND)

• LEITENDER POLIZEIDIREKTOR, CHIEF POLICE DIRECTOR
  Director of the Rheinland Police Department.
  Task: The person holding this rank makes all the decisions and promotions. (Only forum presence).
  
  
• POLIZEIDIREKTOR (Pdt), POLICE DIRECTOR
  Second highest rank within the Rheinland Polizei Department.
  Task: Manages several departments, and oversees the recruitment process and education of new police officers.
  
  
• OBERRAT (Obt), SUPERINTENDENT
  The third highest rank of the Rheinland Polizei Department.
  Task: Management of a department (usually a larger department with higher responsibility)

  Highest rank within the Mid-command chain. Experienced Police Officers.
  Task: Leading patrols, service group management, teaching or training staff in the police educational institutions.
  
  
• KOMMISSAR (Kom), INSPECTOR
  Entry rank into the Mid-command chain, these men and woman have proven their worth for the Polizei and earned experience in the field.
  Task: Leading patrols, ensuring public safety and order by prosecuting administrative offenses and preventing criminal offenses.

  The backbone of the Rheinland Police Department, every Polizei Kadett who passes the initiation process will receive this as their first rank.

  Entry rank. Every new member starts out as a Polizeikadett.
