That's totally beside the point here, this is an admin feedback thread. Rule-wise, as written, IMG can clearly defend people grouped with them when they are shot. Even against Crayter. Allies are not the same ID shooting the same ID - the only case where there were warnings and sanctions in the past when people shot each other (FR5s aside) with clear ID lines warranting the attack.
A mistake by a staff member was made in this regard, and the only question here is if the Allied line in corporate IDs that have cap access and/or SRP caps should be limited to gunboats and smaller.
