Seeing who it was, he lowered his weapon with a big sigh of relief and slumped forward a bit only to catch himself. He reset the hammers and saftied the weapon before resting it on the wall of the house standing up. He was still in disbelief but Niki loving her Mother was all the proof he needed. Still, he had a look of shock on his face.
The death notice in the paper, the coroner's report from Sprague and the remains shot into the Baffin sun left him in wonder. Pulling up a chair to face her, he had to sit a moment.

"The reports," he said in total confusion as he shook his head, "Who..........wait." He then looked at her, "Whose body was shot into the Baffin sun on my order?"
He shook his head again, "How the Hell did you find this place?" With a final head shake, he got back to his feet and stood before her.
Catching his breath, he finally started to collect himself. "Sonja, never mind all that for now, it is just good to see you alive."
He then motioned for her to stand so that he could hug her. When they did, tears of relief went down his face.
