Holding on: This is Mark Reynolds of the Insurgency Subversion Fleet. Yesterday, one of our gunboats was destroyed when a Navy bomber squad came in to intercept it while it tried to rendezvous with us. When we later examined the wreckage, we found no survivors. Normally, this would put a lot of sorrow to other people, but as battle-hardened officers, who had similar experiences a countless number of times already, it only strengthened our resolve to keep fighting for Vespucci, even as we lose ground to the invaders every day.

However, despite the loss, we managed to strike back. The surprise came when our intelligence reported holes in the patrol activity of the Liberty Navy. Apparently, one of their squadrons was sent to inspect the anomaly located within the Guerrero Asteroid Cloud. As they were lightly armed, comprising only two gunboats and four escort snubcraft, we managed to move most of the Subversion Fleet and crushed them while taking no losses. Hopefully, the Navy will find the cost of their offensive, but we must remain adamant if we are to turn the tides to our favor.
