I don't know how much time had passed since I had fallen asleep in the cockpit. It felt like at least a couple of hours. I kept my head resting on the cockpit window as I stared straight ahead. I sent probes down into my own mind, attempting to remember anything that might have put me in my current situation. However, I was met with a big, fat, nothing-burger.

I powered on the ship to look through it's systems and sub-systems to see if there was any evidence there. However, much like my blank slate memory, the same amnesia was present within the memory of the onboard systems. Who ever had been so effective in wiping my own memory had done the same for the ship. Frustrated, I powered off the ship and sat in darkness for another few moments before rising to my feet and departing the Obsidian Fighter. On my way out, equipping a EVA suit and rebreather just in case the oxygen onboard the station had completely run out.

As my feet touched the platform, I came to appreciate how truly spooky the abandoned station was. It was eerily quiet, and not just because there was no longer oxygen onboard. The luminal space of the platform and the surrounding offices was enough to cause my mind to fill the empty spaces with all manner of shadows and possible monsters lurking around every corner. Swallowing hard, I began my exploration.

I surveyed every office in every hallway finding no people, no bodies, no furniture, or terminals. There was evidence that furniture and terminals had once existed here, but had long since been removed. I was about to give up when I found one room with an active terminal...but what I found only gave me more questions...

It was apparent that someone had completely wiped everything that I would have contact with...anything that would give me answers. I looked surveyed the area I was in and came to a decision.

"Time to go outside and see where I am."
