Changes to POBs

Just my thoughts on this:

Why not do the 6x decay rate when not fully staffed (crewed)
Keep passive decay at the same rate or double it, but not make 6x the standard rate.

Pros of this:
- People don't have to no-life pob supply 4 times a week to keep one alive
- neglected pobs (with dead crew) will decay really fast.

This will negate the clutter and rewards proper upkeep, without forcing people who don't have a lot of free time into a pob hell.

Smooth idea indeed, why not

P.s. there is certain benefit to 6 times building speed as well. Bases become less tamagochi hard to achieve, when Core 1 can be fully repaired in 3 days.
People destroying bases for lulz will stop preventing gameplay to people

In the end I think perhaps current idea is actually excellent (what announced admins)
Your idea megaera has some merits but it keeps old dynamics to bases which are kind of not fun perhaps

With fast repairing, people can more concentrate on using base functionality and its R P requirements (for fresh starters) and having may be even unlawful bases since bases will be able easily surviving lawful siege

From the point of having bases everywhere your idea is better I guess. But from the point of fresh blood to bases, 6 times building speed is cooler

Ergh, both paths have their own merits and kind of hard to choose which one is cooler

Fast buildup will also make them impossible to siege. They already take days with current rates. If you multiply this, you practically make anything above core 1 immortal.
But aside from this aspect. The upkeep itself will leave less room for other ventures. POBs will become inaccesible to casual players.

I mainly proposed the idea because it allowed people to be extra rewarded for just keeping the crew and all supplied.
It will just become a grind to keep the thing going with so much upkeep and it will become frustrating in the long run.

Sure faster buildup is fun, but it also causes it to become a second job when you stick to these rates. Disco simply isnt that populated anymore and there are many PoBs that are years old that are still being cared for by long time players.

Your idea focuses on the brand new ones, but I think the existing ones should be given a bit of a leeway too.
