Changes to POBs

While it hasn't been specifically said here that I've seen, these changes are obviously intended to be punitive and to make solo base ownership impossible.

I think this is a mistake.

As I've outlined above, steps could be taken to make bases so much more than they now are.
At least, IMO, core 1 bases should be left as is so that solo players having a modest base to have as a base of operations and a source of RP should be left as a viable option.
While the server pop seems to be up lately, it doesn't seem capable of supporting even a few dozen active factions or groups that would be capable of maintaining a base under these new limits.

The Devs seem to be ok with breaking the back of POB usage and there being only a few dozen significant bases in Sirius.
And we all know who those owners would be, with base ownership awarded only to a limited meritocracy within the server's "Good Old Boys network". I've watched more than one mod go down the path to oblivion on this track, where the powers that be turned them into a playground for for a limited set of overlords. I fervently hope that this isn't what's happening here, since while it's more fun for some players, it's also far less fun for the majority.
This a place where mods go to die, in my experience.

The POB system has apparently turned out to be something that was not intended, and while I understand the concerns an some of the intentions, and that POB's are truly not what they could be, tearing it all down doesn't seem like a reasonable answer either.

But, as I've said, it's the current limitations of the POB's utility where all bases create the same limited set of products that makes having a plethora of them useless, and expanding their purpose would create an actual reason for more of them to exist.

I've worked on mods trying to create a "dynamic economy", which is a nightmare when using NPC bases and commodities as they already exist. But using POB's to create it by engendering a system where POB's need the services of other POB's to do business would cause dynamic economic activity by default.

Also, implementing Pay to Win in any form is a terrible idea!
