Our first attempt at disassembling the vessel was unsuccessful. Even with a complete scan and blueprints, the ship appeared to resist our tools. It appears that the assembly bolts are merged with the ship itself the same way the weapons are. To attempt further success, we had to deplete the nanobot reserve. Our next approach was to use laser cutters, however, the ship would redirect the nanobots from other sections to reinforce resistance against the cutters. It is now evident that the ship is possessed by an artificial intelligence with self-preservation protocols.

We set up our scanners to detect any power fluctuations within the ship's power arrays. We suspected that the ship's power arrays and sensors behaved in similar manner to a nervous system. Like any nerve connection within a body, a power array would report back to the main catalyst - "the brains" of the vessel - and receive outstanding orders from it. To determine the location of this brain, we once again attempted to disassemble the hull plating with laser cutters. Per usual, the ship would relocate the nanobots to the spots we were attempting to cut through, yet provoking such a reaction allowed us to trace the activity within the power arrays. We were able to discern that the catalyst was located right behind the pilot's seat.
