A New Life for the Broken Bird

The crowd was applauding his set so he stood and acknowledged them all. "It has been awhile since I was on this stage, too long in fact. I know you want more so allow me to oblige."
As he sat, he took a quick look back to the smiling woman. With a quick knuckle crack, he continued with another set. He dialed it down a bit so that people could dine and enjoy at the same time so he played a medley of old TV Themes. They weren't anything fancy but he was having fun doing it.

He switched gears again to an old rock band of Sol and was once again entertaining as he got into his playing. As he played, another drink was placed atop his piano before him. He simply nodded his thanks. After this, he slowed again to yet another old rock song from an eon before. It was this song that couples began to dance as he played.

Once finished, he took a short pause as he looked around the establishment. He always finished with a fast ragtime piece and he didn't disappoint. Another classic piece from a time past had his fingers going faster than an impulse drive as he finished with a Root Beer Rag. Once finished, he stood up and again thanked the patrons.
"If the Commander wants to stay another day or two, I will play again tomorrow. If not, I will see you in the Omicrons. I promise."

Finished, he took a seat next to the young lady and introduced himself. "Dr. John Holliday at your service. You, Young Lady, I would like to get to know."
He still wasn't sure but the piano lounge wasn't the place to find out.
