He gave a nod towards Admete. He understood her concerns. He would be as well if he were in her position. "Understood even though you know my intentions are not of malice. As a show of good faith, I have Nomad remains that need to be returned to their kind. I cannot gain any further knowledge from them." He left it at that.
He was going to leave his office but considering the subject matter, they remained in it's security. "Isa, my intentions are true. I wish to help them medically as I would anyone or anything else. I have studied what remains I have to learn from them, to study their DNA and tissues. Sure, I have learned much but treatment is something else." He smiled a bit. "It is kind of like my youngest daughter. She is studying to become a veterinarian. Sure, we can treat people here but their pets? Not so much so she has decided to take that on."
His face settled a bit. "I have allowed a Nomad to probe my mind." He wasn't sure how to address the being. "It examined my mind and let me feel some of the anger the Nomad felt towards humans and why. It also appreciated my mental discipline. Still, I have had a few shoot my ship out from around me and leave me in a pod. Thank goodness for passers bye."
"It takes one person to create change," he continued. "While so many greet them with guns, I do not. It does not mean that all of my crossings with them have been pleasant but someone, somewhere, has to start and I will do so quietly."
Caliban. He was still a concern to him. "Men like Caliban have one mission in mind." Doc shrugged. "That is his way and I will not get in the way of it. Silly as it sounds, I do not have an issue with him. It is he that has one with me. Overall, my study results have been limited hence my study and curiosity."
He had finished what he had to say on the matter. He took a look at Isa's beauty. "Shall we continue our walk? I can take you back to your base quarters if you like? Maybe more of this ship? We can continue. It is up to you."
