These are all great questions and important information to know when ready for base deployment!

Here's some quick answers:

• Price for preparation and transit to Cortez: Negotiable!
  
• Can the ship edit subsystems upon deployment: Yes, in fact its vital it's done right away to edit defense modes, docking clearances, and put some credits onboard for the dock master's use!
  
• Can the ship reposition the base after deployment: Typically no, as only those most experienced with the administration of base positioning operations can help using these vessels, but their contracting fees are quite high for these large efforts. Sometimes if you are friendly enough you'll get a 'bump' into a more favorable position for free, but typically when you drop, that's where positioning stops!
