Yes, your tag must match your ID - that part of the rules is fine.

What i'm talking about is the rule that says players MUST use the target's equipped ID, rather than their tag, to identify them in-RP. It's tricky when you're referring to non-faction ID's as wel.

Now I admit, I must have blanked out the part about him being in a BHG ship, I only saw the BHGtag / merc ID when I read the thread - so maybe he deserved the sanction. Still, I think the ID should be taken into account.

who knows, maybe he was trying to up corsair rep so he could get a titan or praetorian and be a corsair-aligned merc, but couldnt do so until he was able to land on a corsair station or planet.
