Why do you not like player owned bases

But on the topic of the thread, player owned bases could be very cool, very neat, and a great utility. The real problem is with PoB owners. They're generally soulless, self-centered, two-faced, and have no qualms about using the trashiest and most underhanded tactics possible to get a single pube up for their little pixel empire. I've had my guys spent literal back to back days of destroying PoBs made with the purpose of being moved around with zoner weapons platforms, which culminated in the grand climax of the PoB owner applying to the faction just to post our e-chat to all the various omicron factions, accusing us of admin abuse when they failed to tab back into the game even once while I followed them on a character with no cloak from the freeport to their hidden bases off plane, and finally quitting the entire server in a flurry of accusations and allegations only rivaled by she-who-I-could-name-for-the-funnies-but-I-honestly-don't-care-enough-to-deal-with-the-response.

The only good playerbases I've seen have been the equipment dealers which do most of their business on the forums and have been around for a long a​ss time. Jesus the Christ bought his cloak device from Canary Wharf Station. Adam and Eve bought their cloak devices from Canary Wharf Station. It was attacked once. There has been one PoB with good RP centered entirely on the base. It was Bristol. Bristol is on life support now, but back when they were going from 4 to 5 they were super chill and good. That's it. Some ore PoBs were good for a bit. Most were utter garbage that were putting zapper platforms on top of jump holes. Most bases in existence today are glorified bank characters, autofel​la​tio, or weapons platform spam being masked with "roleplay". One of those is meh, and two of them deserve what's coming for them.

All in all, solid greenmsg. I should demand my faction members waste another 48 consecutive hours of their life killing one or three. Our feedback thread hasn't been blown up in a while, gotta make all those moderators earn their keep. Now back to my rum.
