Why do you not like player owned bases

Yeah, I also remember when GC was sieging bases and nobody cared.

Because we RP'd and didn't do it to grief. Either a base had weapon platforms in our lane of smuggling, the player would threaten us back and even oorp name-call, or there was an attempt to require tribute (which wasn't a lot and just to name a few). After that failed and the players declined, usually after several posts instead of just one "Oh found base, you must die", that's when we sieged. So yes, it is interesting that these latest sieges have stirred up the community but those sieges didn't. See the difference?

Ah yes, that one base in Honshu (Hiyo Cloud) somewhere far far away from Cardamine trade routes got sieged, why? Because it was owned partially by Couden. Also, the other base in again Honshu in front of Yukawa Shipyard didn't have even weapon platforms. However, GC also has sieged a pob that didn't really bother anyone until the system has been shrunk and it has ended up in the cloud that could have technically bothered in your trade routes, however, somebody with a mousepad could've done so without the pob being there. Anyways, as I checked for any declaration threads regarding Gen'an GC to set up an argument, I've found only one, as this example doesn't set a big difference from other RHA siege declaration threads. It also contains three sentences that end with basically "Oh found your base, you must die".

Considering the current attitude of pob builders and in general it is no big surprise that certain bases get sieged when people find out about them. I also find it amusing that people claim that the sieging party has not attempted to RP before the siege and it always comes into my mind, have you? During my long time of membership in the RHA, I've come across several of these bases, I will not deny that we haven't sieged bases without oorp reasons, for example, both previous Kruger bases in Omega-7, Schwermetallhandel (my own pob that we have build up and sold later on to Kruger), and many others even our own base (insert meme here). I'm pretty sure that it has been written somewhere here among all the tears that people should accept that somebody will destroy the things they've built. However, certain can't deal with their pobs being rejected from certain areas and have to plant troll pobs all over the place, (insert Sigma incident here).
